DRAWING A TENSION
Works from the Deutsche Bank Collection
In 1979, the Deutsche Bank was one of the first private institutions to combine contemporary art with its working premises. Since then, its art collection has grown into one of the world’s largest. Originally focused on drawing and photography, it has encompassed painting and sculpture over the last years. Under the title ‘Drawing a Tension’, curator Jürgen Bock has amassed for the Gallery of the Gulbenkian Foundation a group of important pieces, the juxtaposition of which is aimed at creating a tension that will enrich the reading possibilities of each work.
