Education Department: general objectives and goals

• To encourage and promote Modern and Contemporary Art, particularly local art and foreign relations, by creating and supporting initiatives related to the permanent collection and other temporary displays organised by the Modern Arts Centre.

• To create and support an active program of initiatives that will respond to a wide-ranging audience’s interests and attract new visitors, and provide other growing, more informed and demanding audiences, with further learning, by establishing close, enduring relations with them.  

• To actively and usefully contribute to the growth of art education (for and with art) by providing educational programmes for children, young adults and learning facilitators (tutors, teachers, coaches, monitors and all other education professionals)

• To become an arena where the challenges and problems of Visual Culture and its role in contemporary society, prompted by Modern and Contemporary Art and their associated fields of study, can be reflected and discussed
