Images rights and loan rules

Requests for image reproduction

1. The reproduction of images of works belonging to the CAMJAP, in monographies or catalogues of temporary exhibitions, abides by copyright, personality or other applicable legislation.

 Image reproduction demands a previous written agreement by of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and at the cost  of 40 Euros per image.

If the images are solely intended for research purposes and personal documentation, the reproduction of images of the CAMJAP collection does not follow this procedure.

2. The publication of images of works in the CAMJAP collection but which do not belong to the public domain (i.e.death of the artist, having occurred at least seventy years ago), require independent authorization by the copyright holder of the work in question, and are of the responsibility of the requesting party.

3. A new authorization is required for the reutilization of images previously reproduced with the authorization of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

4. The publication of images must be accompanied by the reference of their provenance and the CAMJAP expects to receive two copies of the published work.

5. The supply of digital copies/prints of images of the CAMJAP or of its collection requires a letter addressed to the Director, Jorge Molder, or the form completed and sent to:

Photography or film in the CAMJAP

1. Flash photography is not permitted in the museum.

2. Filming inside and outside the museum is only possible with authorization of the director of the CAMJAP. The authorization request should be addressed in writing to the Director, Jorge Molder.

Loan Requests

1. All the existing works in the CAMJAP collection are available for loan. Loans of works of art are destined mostly for temporary exhibitions in which their presentation is considered relevant.

2. Loan requests should be addressed, in writing, to the director of the CAMJAP, Jorge Molder, at least two months in advance (in accordance with the decision of the board of directors of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation). Once authorized by the board of directors, the request for the loan follows the procedures applicable to the circulation of works of art.

Publishing of images of Jazz em Agosto

The acquisition of images of the Jazz in August for publication purposes must be requested to
